Meet Our Professional Team
Judith Arick, Doctor of Audiology, holds both a B.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Connecticut as well as an M.A. in Audiology from the University of Iowa. Her forty years in the field are extensive, including professional experience at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York University, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and as Director of Audiology at Union Hospital in Lynn. She was awarded her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Dr. Judy works two days per week so that she can enjoy spending time with her grandson Miles and granddaughter Maddie. From time to time, she visits her other granddaughter, Mimi, and her son and daughter-in-law in Oakland, California.
Suzanne Arick Rakov earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and finance before going on to get a masters degree. She worked in healthcare research and database marketing, then joined a Brookline clothing boutique. At the store Suzanne mastered customer relations, wrote marketing pieces and led development of the store’s website and customer database. Eight years and two beautiful children later, she was ready to try something different. Judy Arick suggested that Suzanne consider joining the hearing services field. So Suzanne pursued her at-home coursework and worked with Judy for eighteen months, took her exams and earned her Massachusetts Hearing Instrument Specialist license in 2011. Since then, she has been successfully working in the hearing industry. Now Suzanne brings her charm, knowledge, and professional hearing instrument specialist experience to BHS.
Suzanne is very eager to meet you, and you might even get a chance to meet her children Miles and Maddy. She lives in Brookline, and by the way, happens to be Judy Arick’s daughter! Judy is delighted to welcome her to BHS and she looks forward to working with her for many years; together they are determined to find a solution to all of your hearing needs.
